Browser Compatibility
The browser war is pretty much over now. Chrome, Firefox and IE9 currently share the bulk of desktop installs – with Safari nipping at their combined coat tails. Opera, Maxthon and Netscape still lurk around – but only just, and the user base is loyal supporters rather than new ones.
Everything we make for the web is standards-compliant, meaning it will display perfectly for the top 3 and still be (at the very least) usable for the rest. We test all sites on all browsers.
Hosting
We have four high specification VPS servers provided by the award-winning Site5. Two live in London and the others in Texas, with one machine in each location hosting sites and the other doing the databases. If you want to hear just how cool we think Site5 are then drop us a line.
Down and Out
If you’re thinking about using us for a project, it’s worth remembering that there are a few things we don’t work with:
- PHP 4 / MySQL 4 (all of the big boys have moved to version 5)
- Joomla 1.0 (we can help bring you up to date)
- Microsoft servers (ask us why you should switch to Linux)
- Internet Explorer 6 (even Microsoft says we shouldn’t)
